Self-Awareness

How can I help ?
Self-awareness questions
When we get to know our own workings, we map our reactions and feelings, we can more easily find coping methods that suit us for the problems of everyday life. Whether it's about family relationships, difficulties at work or in our studies, or any private matter.
Subclinical issues
What does 'subclinical' mean? Simply that psychological issues may arise in the individual, but they do not reach the threshold at which a psychiatric diagnosis can be established. The treatment modalities I offer can complement the treatment of such conditions, but do not replace it.
Thematic groups
Therapeutic groups held using various methods (art, literature) are always built around some mental phenomenon. For example, this could be anxiety, burnout, or general self-awareness. Everyone can find the specific area that particularly defines their daily frustrations.
Reducing mental burden
The combination of various artistic disciplines and psychological counseling work is a combination that can relieve enormous burdens from the human shoulders. The dual nature: art alone helps with problem-solving and experiencing, which is complemented by discussion.
Who am I?
Fanni Vladika-Szathmáry psychologist
I am Fanni Vladika-Szathmáry, a psychologist, but also a huge fan and practitioner of the arts. It was early on that I formulated that I would like to help people in some way, and that has not changed later. However, I did not let go of the artistic line either. After I graduated from university, I also worked as a designer. I love painting, writing, and reading, and I quickly realized that these are all essential for my mental peace and can also function as great therapeutic tools. For self-awareness purposes, I got to know integrative psychotherapy, which was just one step away from diving into an art therapy training. I learned about the therapeutic application of visual arts, literature, and fairy tales as well. I would like to show everyone who is open to it what a great coping method art can provide, even without any prior knowledge and practice.

Fantasy (in this sense) is, I think, not a lower but a higher form of Art, indeed the most nearly pure form, and so (when achieved) the most potent.

My methods
I apply several methodologies that I have acquired in the field of art therapy.
Visual arts
No artistic training/drawing skills required!
Using the tools of visual arts, I help you get to know yourself, overcome difficulties, and show you a new coping method that can help you get through difficult times. We mainly use acrylic paint and canvas in group sessions.
Literature
No prior literary knowledge required!
Literary works, mainly from the fantasy/sci-fi genre, provide the basis for group sessions, where text reading and text creation also take place.
